The Wardrobe of the Church
Pastor Jin will be preaching from Colossians 3:12-17 and explaining two things:
What a church is. A church isn’t a club nor an organization. The church according to God is a family. The church takes priority over our immediate families when push comes to shove.
How we as a church can function as a family. We can function by putting on the clothes of Christ.
Discussion Questions:
In your own terms, what is church?
How have we been fitting church life into our family and/or personal plans? What are some ways you are challenged to fold your life into church life?
Share your experiences/testimony of how God revealed that you need the church and how you've been blessed through that experience.
Read Colossians 3:1-17. Apostle Paul lists characteristics that Christians can now put off and put on in Christ. Which of these do you find the most difficult to put off and put on?
How does the fact that we are "being renewed" (in the process of being formed) in Colossians 3:10 encourage and empower you to put on the garments of Christ (vv. 12-14)?
